Wright Lab

Reimagining research through a culturally sensitive lens

Welcome to the Wright Lab. This space was created from a passion for understanding the experiences of Black children and youth within educational and mental health systems. Much of our work is inspired by the ways Black youth are often expected to navigate adversity, resilience, identity, and achievement while receiving unequal support within schools and communities.

Beyond research, the lab is also meant to be a collaborative space where students can grow as researchers, explore meaningful questions, and contribute to work that reflects the realities and strengths of the communities we care about. At its core, the Wright Lab is grounded in curiosity, and a commitment to creating research that feels impactful.
